Ghanaian comedian, OB Amponsah, has criticized gospel singer and television host Empress Gifty for failing to respond to a controversial comment made on live television.

His criticism comes after a recent episode of United Showbiz on UTV, where entertainment pundit Bullgod described Jesus as a “fool,” a remark that quickly triggered outrage across social media platforms.

OB Amponsah, reacting to the broadcast, expressed frustration at Empress Gifty’s silence during the segment. As both a gospel singer and host of the show, he argued, she had a moral obligation to challenge or condemn the statement, but chose not to.

“How can a gospel musician who is also a host of the show allow someone to insult the messiah back and forth?

“You could have gone on a strike until he rendered an apology. However, you didn’t do so. All you could do is to wear makeup and come sit on the show without doing anything,” he wrote in Twi in a Facebook post.
