Concerned Nzema Youth have appealed to calls by President John Dramani Mahama to confirm the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Gas Company, Dr Robert Kofi Lartey as the substantive CEO of the Company.

According to the Nzema youth, with his vast experience at the Ghana National Gas Company and having spent appreciable number of years working in the Nzema area, Dr Kofi Lartey fits into the managerial position of CEO at Ghana Gas.

A Social and Political Commentator and Media Personality, Daniel Adiah Kaku alias Filler Ellembelle, made the appeal on behalf of the youth at Aiyinasi in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.

Filler Ellembelle, is a citizen of Nzema who has been advocating an Nzema to be appointed as Ghana Gas CEO since January 2025.

However, with the turn of events, he has now joined the clarion call by the Nzema Youth by declaring his unflinching support for Dr. Kofi Lartey, the acting Ghana Gas CEO.

His reason is simple as ABCD.

According to Filler Ellembelle, since he loves President John Mahama so much and the president himself likes Dr. Lartey to manage the company, he does not see why he must continue to reject Dr. Kofi Lartey as the potential Ghana Gas CEO.

Filler Ellembelle has enquired that Dr. Lartey has been staying in Nzema particularly in Jomoro since the construction of the plant started.

“If we don’t get an Nzema as Ghana Gas CEO and President JM has appointed Dr. Kofi Lartey as acting Ghana Gas CEO then I don’t have any problem with the decision my lovely and best friend President John Mahama has taken. I fully support Dr. Lartey 100 per cent. Nzema is Dr. Lartey’s second home, he understands our Nzema language and he knows every community in Nzema, he will never disappoint we Nzemas as Dr Ben Asante did”, he stated.

“Dr. Lartey is also a stalwart in NDC, he loves the NDC and I trust him that he will empower the NDC in Nzema to be vibrant”, he added.

Filler Ellembelle who started social and political communication in 2006 on a local-based radio station, Ankobra FM, took the opportunity to appeal to President John Mahama to officially announce Dr. Robert Kofi Lartey as the Ghana Gas CEO to commence the Resetting Agenda at the Ghana Gas company.

He also appealed to Dr. Lartey to make Nzema his topmost priority by creating Ghana Gas Foundation to support the Nzemas in education.

Filler Ellembelle is also using this platform to appeal to all Nzemas especially NDC members in Nzema and outside Nzema to rally behind Dr. Lartey as Ghana Gas CEO to succeed.

“Let’s support Dr. Lartey to succeed, I know one day an Nzema will become Ghana Gas CEO because Dr. Lartey is coming to empower more Nzemas”, he opined.
