Nsoatreman FC, while on their way to play their Ghana Premier League fixture against champions FC Samartex on Monday, March 10, 2025, were almost ambushed by an unknown assailant.

According to information relayed by the club’s General Manager to a Kessben TV reporter, the unknown man followed the team’s bus as they were en route to their adopted home grounds in Bibiani.

Fortunately, the bus had a police escort, who promptly intervened when the suspect attempted to draw his weapon.

The police apprehended the individual at Kukuom and subsequently transferred him to Bibiani cells.

Calm was eventually restored, and the players arrived to honor the game.

Unfortunately, the 2024 FA Cup champions endured a 1-0 loss. Samartex’s Mohammed Mankuyeli scored the only goal to give the defending GPL champions their first win in four games.

The loss puts more pressure on Nsoatreman, who are now just three points above the relegation zone, having won just 21 points after 20 games. The team have yet to make a statement following the encounter.
