The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has suspended one of its communicators in the Northern Region, Nam Zakali.

In a statement issued by the Director of Communications of the Northern Regional Communications Directorate of the NPP, Yussif Danjimmah, on September 15, 2025, it was indicated that Nam Zakali had been suspended.

It stated that the decision was taken to suspend the communicator after he was found guilty of engaging in anti-party behaviour.

“I write this letter to formally announce the indefinite suspension of Nam Zakali, a member of the Northern Regional Communications Team, with immediate effect.

“The decision has become necessary following his anti-party conduct in recent months, monitored closely by the Communications Directorate and the Regional Party as a whole,” part of the statement reads.

The party went on to urge its members not to engage in activities that would hurt its efforts to rebuild ahead of the 2028 general election.

“In view of this, all party members are urged to take a cue from this disciplinary action and conduct themselves in a manner that will enhance party unity and cohesion as we are on course to regroup and rebuild for victory in 2028,” the statement concludes.
