A sprawling property with a ‘floating’ tennis court has hit the Sydney market, giving prospective owners stunning views of the city’s landmarks while playing the sport.

The four bedroom, two bathroom boutique apartment at 1/5 Baden Road is one of eight luxury homes at the exclusive ‘Baden House’ complex in Kurraba Point.

Residents can play a set of tennis or go for a dip in the adjacent pool, which both appear to hover over the water, while taking in all of Sydney’s main icons including the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and the Botanical Gardens.

Ray White agent Geoff Smith told Daily Mail Australia the ‘crowning glory’ of the property is the tennis court resting on the sea.

‘There is nothing else like that looking at Sydney Harbour,’ he said.

‘It is certainly one of the best tennis courts in Sydney – a proper tennis court.’

The real estate agency has listed a price guide of $13 to $14million ahead of an auction on March 13 – unless a cashed-up buyer swoops on the unit beforehand.

Mr Smith, the principal agent for Ray White’s Lower North Shore Group, said the property was built in the late 1980s and doesn’t come on the market very often.

Jo Minehan, whose family has owned the apartment since 1997, recalled some of her best memories watching the Naval Fleet Review in 2013 and the crossing of the Queen Elizabeth II in 2008 and Queen Victoria again in 2022.

‘The harbour is never boring. There is always something happening whether it be major events like New Year’s Eve, the Grand Prix sailing, the Red Bull diving and the constant arrival of cruise ships or naval ships.’

The apartment also boasts access to a swimming pool that similarly appears to ‘float’ on the harbour, along with a spa, boatshed and basement garage that has secure parking for three cars.

The property occupies an entire floor of Baden House and, at the centre of the home, is a large, L-shaped living and dining room that wraps around the south-east wing.

The kitchen includes black granite benchtops and a Bosch built-in cooktop.
