Ghanaian MC and hypeman, MC Portfolio, has confidently declared himself the most deserving winner of the Best Event MC and Hypeman award at the 2024 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, which took place on November 9, 2024.
Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime after the awards event, MC Portfolio addressed the fact that he was tied with MC Kojo Manuel for the coveted title.
According to MC Portfolio, his accomplishments in the year under review make him stand out among his peers, asserting that no one else in the category deserved the award more than he did. “I hosted some of the biggest events in the country,” he stated emphatically.
While acknowledging that most of these events took place outside Accra, the nation’s capital, he highlighted the high standards and impact of the programs he hosted.
Listing some of his notable achievements, MC Portfolio pointed to his role as host of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II 25th Anniversary Concert at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.
He also mentioned anchoring the Asamoah Gyan Sports Event at the same venue, among other high-profile programs.

MC Portfolio’s remarks come in the wake of comments by MC Kojo Manuel, who recently claimed that he had won the award outright and that there was no tie.
