Popular music duo DopeNation has joined the growing list of artists and fans defending Sarkodie after a controversial claim that his career was “dead.”
The remark, made by a guest on Accra-based TV3, triggered widespread backlash, with many rallying behind the rap legend.
In a post on Twitter (X) on April 9, 2025, DopeNation praised Sarkodie, calling him a remarkable piece of art and an icon, regardless of what others may think.
“We want to take this opportunity to let you know that you are a remarkable piece of art. And no matter what any generation may think, you will still remain that admirable icon with an enviable catalogue. Respect, Sarkodie,” they posted.
The tweet adds to the chorus of support from various industry players who have spoken out in defense of Sarkodie.
Although the “Illuminati” hitmaker has yet to respond directly to the criticism, he recently shared a motivational message, encouraging perseverance and trust in God’s plan.
