Ghanaian musician King Promise has expressed his confidence in winning the Artiste of the Year award at the upcoming 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
Speaking at the lavish 40th birthday celebration of business mogul Richard Nii-Armah Quaye on March 22, 2025, King Promise confidently proclaimed, “I’m your incoming Artiste of the Year. Nobody work pass me,” emphasizing his belief that his hard work over the past year makes him the most deserving candidate for the prestigious award.
The star-studded event, held at the Independence Square in Accra, featured a dazzling display of fashion and attracted a host of celebrities, including actors, musicians, influencers, and prominent businessmen.
King Promise’s performance at the party further solidified his claim as he entertained the audience with his consistent hit releases and impactful contributions to the music industry.
This year, King Promise faces stiff competition from heavyweights like Black Sherif, King Paluta, Team Eternity, Joe Mettle, Stonebwoy, and Kwaku Smoke for the coveted Artiste of the Year title.
Last year, he narrowly lost to Stonebwoy in a closely contested race, but he remains optimistic about his chances in 2025.
The TGMA main awards ceremony is scheduled for May 3, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre, with a pre-party on May 2 and a nominees’ jam, known as the TGMA Xperience, on April 5.
