Detroit, MI- Cruiserweight Derick Miller Jr. (18-0, 10 KOs) made quick work of Fransisco Cordero (46-22, 35 KOs) by winning by TKO at the 1:20 mark of the 1st Round. Miller opened the contest with a steady left jab. Not too long after the bell to start the fight, Miller found a left to the body of Cordero that had him hit the canvas. Referee Steve Daher counted him out.
Antwan Jones landed a beautiful right uppercut on his opponent Alan Campo to win the scheduled 8-Round Light Heavyweight contest in four rounds. The 53-second victory by TKO in the 4th, also, produced another knockdown by Jones in the 3rd. The win improves Jones to (17-0, 10 KOs) and Campo drops to (19-11, 13 KOs).
Jr. Welterweight Matthew Niziolek (7-1, 3 KOs) after his fight called his bout a “street fight” to announcer Kara Ro. His opponent Lamar Bolden came in with a game plan of trying to hold and stall Niziolek. This led to bad timing and really, just an awkward fight. The 4-round fight had Niziolek scoring two knockdowns; one in the 2nd Round and the other in the 3rd. Bolden scored a knockdown in the 3rd Round, as well. Referee Lorraine Aldridge, who did a good job of trying to keep order in this bout, took a point away in the 3rd from Bolden for continued blows to the back of the head of Niziolek. After four rounds, all three judges had the UD for Niziolek (39-35, 39-35, 39-36). Bolden drops to (2-11-2).
Heavyweight Vernon Webber (10-1, 7 KOs) destroyed Jawaski Bethly (0-4) by TKO at the 1:25 mark of the 1st Round. Webber, traditionally who has fought at Cruiserweight, called out Derick Miller for a fight after his victory.
Other results of the night had Ontario Johnson (0-3) losing to pro debut Heavyweight Michael Teolis (1-0, 1 KO) by TKO at the 2:12 mark of the 2nd Round.
Katriel Young (1-3) scored TKO victory at the 24-second mark of the 1st Round over Super Middleweight Faisal Rehman (0-1-1).
Light Heavyweight Hassain Bilal (7-0, 6 KOs), fighting out of Superbad Gym, wins by a 2:25 1st Round TKO over Martinez Stevenson (0-2).
Jr. Middleweight Marcus Wilson (4-0, 2 KOs) wins by TKO in the 1st Round over Darius Carr (0-6).
Middleweight Kevin Carree Jr. (4-0, 3 KOs) wins by 2:02 TKO over Rodolfo Puentes (21-10-2, 16 KOs) in the 1st Round.
Pro debut Jr. Flyweight Ryan Williams (1-0, 1 KO) won by 1:59 TKO in Round 1 over Khendal Moore (0-6).
