A Nigerian father showcased his culinary expertise during a visit to his daughter’s home for Omugwo, winning hearts with his impressive cooking skills.

Upon visiting his abroad-based daughter,  he demonstrated his cooking prowess by making Iribotor soup and solid starch, a local delicacy.

To adapt the indigenous techniques, the man used a gas stove to smoke fish and nuts presumed to be bitter kola.

With the man’s culinary skills, TikTok users confirmed that Omugwo’s role shouldn’t be limited to women.

Many claimed that the man had altered public perceptions of the specific tribe by demonstrating that cooking was not a skill for women only.

Netizens argue that the smoking technique should have been done in the backyard since it could cause a fire hazard due to the smoke from smoking the fish.
