Black Stars defender, Nicholas Opoku delivered another commanding performance in Kasimpasa’s goalless draw against Kocaelispor in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 28-year-old who was deployed in the right back position by coach Emre Belozoglu at the Yıldız Entegre Kocaeli Stadium against Kocaelispor on Sunday, December 7, 2025, proved himself as a versatile defender.

Despite being played out of position, Nicholas Opoku was exceptional as he helped his team to keep a clean sheet.

In 90 minutes, Opoku registered 44 touches, showing his calm involvement in Kasimpasa’s build-up play. He completed 20 of his 24 passes, including 2 out of 3 long balls, a reminder that he is not only a strong defender but also a composed distributor capable of helping the team progress the ball from deep.
