Neymar Jr, forward for Al Hilal

Neymar Jr. is set to return to his first professional club, Santos, ahead of the 2025 Brasileirão season.

The Brazilian superstar, who will turn 33 in February 2025, aims to reignite his career with Santos while preparing to guide his national team at the FIFA 2026 World Cup.

After joining Al-Hilal for a record £77 million in 2023, Neymar’s time in Saudi Arabia was plagued by a devastating ACL injury and other setbacks, limiting him to just seven appearances over 18 months.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the playmaker is expected to terminate his contract in Saudi Arabia in the coming days to rejoin Santos in time for the São Paulo state league.

Neymar first rose to global prominence at Santos, dazzling fans with spectacular goals and electrifying performances.

His 200-goal contributions for the club earned him a move to FC Barcelona and cemented his status as one of football’s brightest stars, both at club level and with the Brazilian national team.

During his initial stint with Santos, Neymar achieved significant success, winning the Brazilian Cup, three Paulista state titles, and the historic Copa Libertadores.
