Ghanaian prophet, Telvin Sowah has cautioned the Black Stars technical team against dropping goalkeeper Benjamin Asare from the squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to him, the Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper’s composure and calmness between the posts have contributed significantly to the team’s success in securing qualification.
The prophet also claimed that Asare has a spiritual influence on the team, which enables the Black Stars to thrive and win matches with ease.

Speaking in an interview with Accra FM, Prophet Telvin warned that the national team would lose all their matches at the 2026 World Cup if Asare is replaced by another goalkeeper.
“If they change the goalkeeper, they’ve killed everything. They should maintain the local one. That’s why I urge them to use local players. Since he joined, there’s been calm in the team. He is the spirit of the team, so he should be maintained. If they go shopping and replace him, I’ll reveal how we’ll perform.
“We will lose the first, second, and third matches. Even the weakest team will beat us. There will be just one great team in their group, and they’ll defeat them easily. If they don’t respect the timing, they can forget it,” the prophet cautioned.
This warning comes amid ongoing public debate about Benjamin Asare’s goalkeeping competency, with some urging the technical team to explore other options
