Former P-Square member, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy)

Following Nigerian musician Paul Okoye (Rudeboy)’s threats to take action against an X user who recently accused him of rape, reports now indicate that the lady has been formally charged in court.

The lady incurred the wrath of the former P-Square member after alleging that he once molested a domestic worker in his home.

Responding to the allegations at that time, Rudeboy dismissed the claims on social media, describing them as defamatory and vowing to ensure the accuser faces the full weight of the law.

Shortly afterward, the lady deleted her X account.

An account, reposted by Rudeboy on X, shared updates on the case.

It stated that the lady fled her marital home after being identified but was arrested on November 6, 2025, detained, and subsequently charged on November 10.

Per reports, less than 24 hours into detention, she reportedly complained of difficulty breathing and swollen legs, prompting her lawyers to request urgent medical care.

The report claimed that less than 24 hours into detention, the lady complained of difficulty in breathing and swollen legs, prompting her lawyers to request urgent medical care.

“Just about 24 hours in detention, she started to complain that she couldn’t breathe and her legs were swollen and that she needed medical attention. After so much consideration, she was released to visit the hospital while her lawyer pleaded that she would be back unfailingly by the 10th. Surprisingly, she didn’t come back as promised, as her lawyer claimed the health issue was a serious one.

“The matter was then adjourned to the 17th of November; again, she failed to show up, claiming she is still under medical supervision,” the report claimed.

According to reports, the lady again failed to appear, offering the same explanation, which led to the case being rescheduled to December 1, 2025.

The court then issued a firm directive that either the accused or her legal representative must attend without fail.

After reposting the claims from the account, Rudeboy later shared a picture of himself in army camouflage with the caption, “No Forgiveness Zone … #feminist,” seemingly verifying the reports.

The development has since attracted massive attention on social media, with many weighing in on issues of free speech and the consequences of false accusations.
