Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, the NDC Greater Accra Regional Chairman, recently shared his thoughts on various issues during an interview on Channel 1 TV GH. He expressed his frustration with the government’s tendency to blame COVID-19 for every problem they face, pointing out that many African countries, including Kenya and Nigeria, successfully navigated the pandemic .
Moore also discussed the issue of galamsey, stating that while it’s a part of the economy, it wasn’t handled properly by the government. He believes that if mining was part of the government’s governance strategy, they would claim success in addressing galamsey .
Furthermore, Moore criticized the government for shying away from blame and instead focusing on digitalization. He emphasized that while digitalization is important, it’s not a substitute for addressing the basic needs of citizens, such as access to food and other essential services .
