Nations FC head coach Samuel Frimpong Manso says his side must be ready to fight for every point in their remaining matches starting their match-day 32 clash against Young Apostles.

The Sky Blues head into the encounter highly motivated after securing an important 1-0 away victory over Heart of Lions in midweek courtesy Kelvin Ampoful’s decisive first-half goal.

Speaking ahead of the game, the experienced gaffer admitted fatigue has become a major challenge for players at this stage of the season due to the demanding fixture schedule.

“It’s tough. You can feel it, and whenever you see the players, you see it on their faces. It’s normal. For me, what we need to do is to manage the fatigue at this time of the season. They’ve played 31 games, and so that’s what we are seeing,” he told Nations FC TV.

The ex-GoldStars trainer also stressed the importance of preparing mentally and physically for the difficult trip to Wenchi, where he expects strong a difficult game from the home side.

“Hopefully, on Saturday, we will be done with the stress management, and we will be ready for the next game. We need to fight above ourselves to get something. In Wenchi, we know they love their football, and so for us to get a point, we need to fight, and that’s exactly what we are going to do,” he added.

The fixture between Young Apostles and Nations FC is scheduled for Sunday, May 10, at the Wenchi Sports Stadium at 15:00GMT (3:00pm).
