The National Film Authority (NFA) has officially bid a farewell to its outgoing Executive Secretary and CEO, Juliet Yaa Asantewa Asante.

In a post shared on their Facebook wall on Friday, March 7, 2025, the Authority expressed deep gratitude for Juliet’s remarkable leadership and acknowledged her role in shaping the organization from its inception.

The post also celebrated Juliet Asante’s unwavering dedication, describing her as a true pioneer who laid a solid foundation for the NFA, broke barriers, and served as an inspiration to all.

“From day one, she has led with passion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to this space,” a portion of the statement read.

Under Juliet’s leadership, the NFA gained recognition for its bold initiatives aimed at revitalizing Ghana’s film industry.

Her efforts in advocating for policies that support local filmmakers and promoting Ghanaian cinema on international platforms have left an indelible mark.

As Juliet Asante’s tenure comes to an ends, it has already been announced that popular Ghanaian actress Kafui Danku will be the new CEO and Executive Secretary.

Supporting Kafui in this new leadership role is actor James Gardiner, who takes over as her deputy.
