Renowned Ghanaian radio presenter, Nana Romeo of Accra FM, has sparked conversations in the entertainment space after revealing the staggering fee charged by award-winning musician KiDi for a single night performance.

Speaking in an interview with Zionfelix on the Uncut Show, Nana Romeo disclosed that a relative of his had sought KiDi for a show scheduled to take place in the UK on April 19, 2025.

According to Nana Romeo, his brother tasked him with making the necessary inquiries regarding KiDi’s availability and charges.

He added that he quite shocked when he was informed that the “Touch It” hitmaker demanded a whopping $20,000 for the one-night performance.

Nana Romeo went further to add that the $20,000 didn’t include flight costs or hotel accommodations.

In his closing remarks on this topic, Nana Romeo also urged Ghanaian artists to show some flexibility when dealing with event organizers, especially those in the diaspora.

“Most of these shows in the diaspora don’t bring in any profits for the organizers. They do it out of passion to promote Ghanaian music and culture. Our artists should sometimes take it easy on them,” he added.
