Ghanaian media personality Nana Romeo Welewele has officially announced his next chapter in the radio industry following his recent departure from Accra FM.
In a message shared on his social media pages and sighted by zionfelix.net on Friday, May 30, 2025, Nana Romeo revealed that he has joined Despite Media as the new host of the renowned drive-time show “Ekwanso Dwoodwo” on Okay 101.7 FM.
The broadcaster, born Abdul Karim, takes over from renowned media personality Abeiku Aggrey Santana, who recently got appointed as the assistant director of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
While sharing this news online, Nana Romeo shared his excitement and gratitude as he described this new role as a major milestone in his career. “This new role is an exciting step in my career and I’m thrilled to join forces with the existing dynamic team to serve our cherished listeners,” he wrote.
Also, in his announcement, Nana Romeo extended sincere thanks to his family, friends, colleagues, and former employers, acknowledging their support throughout his journey.
He also paid special tribute to the leadership of Despite Media, specifically Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, and Dr. Fada Dickson, describing them as instrumental figures in his new opportunity.
