Kantanka’s son refused to shake hands with Apostle Francis Amoako Attah but noded slightly
Nana Kwadwo Safo Kantanka Jnr, son of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo, has stirred discussion online after a brief but noticeable moment at his father’s 40-day observance ceremony.
During the event held on October 20, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Complex, Kwadwo Safo Jnr was seen declining a handshake from Apostle Francis Amoako Attah, an incident that was captured on camera and has since gone viral.
In the video, Apostle Amoako Attah was seen arriving at the ceremony to commiserate with the family of the late Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.

He greeted several of Apostle Safo’s children, including politician Sarah Adwoa Safo, who was seated under a canopy observing the proceedings.
However, when he approached Nana Kwadwo Safo Jnr, who was holding a fan and wearing a composed yet stern expression, he (Kwadwo Safo) did not to accept the prophet’s handshake.
Instead, he gave a slight nod to acknowledge the gesture without making physical contact. Unfazed, Apostle Amoako Attah continued greeting other attendees nearby.
Meanwhile, the 40th day observance of the late Kristo Asafo Mission founder brought together family members, church leaders, and personalities such as former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Osebo the Zaraman, Mercy Asiedu, Dr Elsie Effah Kaufmann, Apostle Francis Amoako Attah, Freddie Blay and others.
The gathering was held to honour the memory of Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission and Kantanka Group who passed on September 14, 2025.
