Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa or Mama Pat, has finally issued a formal apology and retraction of all defamatory statements she previously made about celebrated gospel musician Empress Gifty Oppong Adorye.

The apology, dated 4th December 2025, was released through Agyaa Asamani Law Consult, the legal firm representing Agradaa.

In the official statement signed by her counsel, Richard Asare Baffour, Esq., Agradaa admitted that the allegations she published about Empress Gifty on social media earlier in May 2025 were false, unfounded, and made in the heat of the moment.

According to the document, the posts Nana Agradaa made were a reaction to comments allegedly made by Mr. Hopeson Adorye, but she now acknowledges that her own statements gravely misrepresented Empress Gifty’s character.

The letter clearly states that the publications wrongly imputed immorality and unchastity to Empress Gifty, claims which her legal team now describes as completely without merit.

The statement emphasized: “It is now stated unequivocally that the allegations made by our client were false and completely without merit. Consequently, our client retracts every statement made therein.”

Beyond the retraction, Nana Agradaa also offered what her counsel described as an unqualified and sincere apology for the harm her false claims may have caused the gospel star.

The apology further extended sympathy to Empress Gifty’s family, friends, and colleagues, acknowledging the pain and distress they may have experienced in the aftermath of the attacks.
