Following the sudden demise of Ghana’s Highlife musician, Daddy Lumba, most music lovers have noted that the late “Adaka Tea” singer composed his own tribute songs before his death.

However, as the country prepares for his one-week observation, his friend and former member of the defunct “Lumba Brothers” group, has released a tribute song in that regard.

The tribute song, composed by renowned Highlife singer Nana Acheampong, officially released on August 21, 2025, has since received traction online.

Nana Acheampong, in the almost 4-minute tribute song, titled “Due! K. Fosu” talks about how Lumba’s death has moved mountains and also thrown people from all walks of life into a state of mourning.

Nana Acheampong, who began the song with deep sorrow, noted that no human being can escape death and everyone will give up the ghost one day.

He also transitioned to talking about how the death of the late musician has affected his family, children and fanbase.

The “Nanka Ebeye Den” hitmaker in the latter part of the tribute song also wished Charles Kwadwo Fosu a farewell as he meets his maker.

Nana Acheampong and the late Daddy Lumba started their friendship in the 80s.

During their friendship, Nana Acheampong inspired the late musician to make Highlife songs and it was during that time that the “Lumba Brothers” were formed.

After forming the group, the musicians planned to release their first-ever album in 1986; however, due to financial constraints, their plans were ultimately abandoned.
