Celebrated Ghanaian media personality and business executive, Nana Aba Anamoah, is earning widespread praise online for maintaining her composure during an awkward encounter with a journalist at the annual Thomas Partey football tournament.

The Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB) Network’s Business Development Executive attended the youth tournament, designed to scout and promote emerging football talent, when a reporter unexpectedly approached her with what many are calling an “unprofessional” line of questioning.

As Nana Aba made her way through the park to take her seat in the stands, the journalist attempted to elicit a response from her regarding social media rumours labeling her as the so-called “headmistress” of a group of women.

However, the respected broadcaster offered no comment, continuing her walk with quiet grace and confidence, without acknowledging the provocation.

The video of the exchange—or lack thereof—quickly went viral on social media platforms, sparking widespread approval from fans and observers alike.

“Nana Aba handled that with pure class,” one X (formerly Twitter) user commented. “She didn’t dignify nonsense with a response.”

Others condemned the journalist for his lack of professionalism, calling the question “childish,” “irrelevant,” and “misogynistic.”

Many also commended Nana Aba’s ability to remain focused on the event’s purpose—supporting youth sports development—rather than being distracted by baseless gossip.

This isn’t the first time the award-winning broadcaster has shown poise under pressure. With years of experience in Ghana’s media landscape, Nana Aba has built a reputation for being composed, articulate, and unshaken by controversy.
