Veteran singer Mzbel has revisited her old feud with media personality and Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Abeiku Santana.

In an interview on Mothers FM on January 19, 2026, Mzbel said she has no personal problem with Abeiku Santana, explaining that she only reacted to comments he made about her in the past.

She added that although their feud ended years ago, they were never close and currently do not have the best relationship.

Mzbel also claimed she lost out on several opportunities due to the actions of the Deputy GTA CEO.

The singer further recalled some comments Abeiku allegedly made about her to certain influential people in the past.

“I don’t have any problem with Abeiku Santana. He said something I didn’t like, and I responded to him accordingly. If someone shows their true colours to you or against your brand, there is no need to have anything to do with him.

“Before he called me a former musician, he had previously said some other things about me. He had already spoiled my name on several occasions. I heard them but I did not take them serious because I didn’t hear him make those comments,” she said.

    Background

In 2022, Mzbel and Abeiku Santana, both strong supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), got into a dispute after he made comments described as derogatory about the “16 Years” hitmaker.

During an interview with rising artiste Chief One on the Ekwanso Dwoodwoo show on Okay FM, Abeiku referred to Mzbel as a “former artiste” after Chief One mentioned he would like to work with her.

Mzbel later went on Facebook Live to counter his claims and list her achievements. She also accused Abeiku of trying to negatively affect her music career and business opportunities because she did not give him special attention.

Abeiku later apologised for his comment and admitted he was wrong in a Facebook post with the caption, “I’m sorry for calling Mzbel a former artiste.”
