Nigerian rapper Ice Prince, who transformed from a potbelly to a fit physique, has clarified that his drastic weight loss had nothing to do with illness.

The rapper explained that he had gained significant belly fat over the years due to an unhealthy lifestyle and poor choices, which became a concern for his close friends and family.

After hearing their concerns, he decided it was time to make a change and began working on his fitness.

On October 27, 2025, Ice Prince shared before-and-after photos on Instagram, revealing his slimmer look. He noted that his colleague, Chopstix, played a major role in his transformation.

Ice Prince emphasised that his transformation was motivated by a desire to live a healthier life, not by illness.

“God so good inna me life… A short story! I was literally about to explode… no sickness (Bless God), just bad habits and choices. Then Chopstix and Dami said, ‘Let’s lose the belly, Ice,’ and that really sparked something in my brain that got me activated. From that moment, my brother Chopstix started coming to my house every day after dinner, and we both walked my estate for an hour. Uno chopper gist na normally for PhD students lol, but our talks during those walks are priceless to me, as every other thing we’ve both talked about since we were kids!!! Buss a shot fa ma true fren,” he wrote.
