A man exclaimed that his mum must not be aware of his lifestyle after buying 3 pieces of fried plantain for ₦500 at a local restaurant in Ibadan.

In the video, the man @empiretee20 emphasized that his mother shouldn’t know he had purchased three pieces of fried plantain at such a high cost while displaying his meal, which included rice, stew with plantains, and one egg.

He complained that the plantain was absurdly pricey because his mother would purchase a ₦300 branch and cook it in a quarter of cooking oil so that the family could eat it for a longer amount of time.

He also revealed the name of the restaurant and advised them to improve their food service because it was costly.

Netizens wondered if he wasn’t aware that plantain is expensive at the local market.

    Below are some reactions,

@Dedolapo🌺❤️ If my mum hear, she go follow me to that restaurant 😹😂

@Pastry_palette & fruities Be like you no hear the price of plantain now 😂
