Second Lady of Ghana, H.E. Hajia Samira Bawumia

The Second Lady of Ghana, H.E. Hajia Samira Bawumia, has reiterated that her husband, the 2024 Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, will be a fantastic president if Ghanaians give him the nod in the December 7 elections.

She describes Dr. Bawumia as a good man who embodies every aspect of goodness, respect, and empathy.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Tolon Radio 102.7 in Tolon, hosted by Shaharan Suhuyini on Wednesday, Mrs. Bawumia hinted that the NPP Presidential Candidate will not only continue the good works of President Akufo-Addo but will bring fresh ideas to develop the nation.

“This is a very intelligent man. I called him a good man and that encompasses who he really is, one of his characteristics, his thoughtfulness and empathy. And you need a leader with empathy which means that his policies respond to your need. This is a man who is a deep thinker, he is solution-driven, he is youthful, he’s got energy, he’s got the brain power to solve some of our problems,” she said.

Hajia Samira added that Dr. Bawumia is also a unifier who embraces everybody, “and in fact he also has the ability to bring people together. He bridges the divide. You know Bawumia is for everybody and he also acknowledges the roles everybody plays in society. He respects people, whoever you are, wherever you are, he respects you. He listens to people and so in sum, I think he is just going to be a credible president who is going to continue the good work by the NPP government led by President Akufo-Addo. You need Bawumia to come and continue and elevate the good works that have been done.”

The wife of the Vice President and NPP flagbearer was on a tour of the Northern Regions to meet her compatriots, the Fulbe (Fulani) communities.

She was accompanied by the MP for Tolon and 1st Deputy Majority Chief Whip, Alhaji Habib Iddrisu, Presidential Staffer Napaga Tia Sulemana, NPP National Deputy Secretary Mohammed Haruna, Chairman Samba, Founder of Girls Girls for Samira Bawumia Fey Gomda, among other dignitaries.
