Ghanaian artiste Fameye has revealed that his early strategy of collaborating with multiple artistes was a deliberate move to grow his brand and expand his reach.

In a recent interview, Fameye shared that featuring on numerous songs helped increase his visibility and introduced him to new audiences.

He admitted that while excessive collaborations may not always be advisable, it was a necessary step during the early stages of his career.

“It was a strategy, you have to let your fame grow, and sometimes that happens through features. I could do ten features in a week, and I know what it has done for me,” he explained.

Fameye also noted that although the momentum from frequent features may fade after one to three years, the long-term impact remains significant.

“Do you know I can sell the features I did a long time ago anytime I want?” he asked the presenter, emphasising the lasting value of those collaborations.

He concluded by stating that every feature carries its own significance, whether the song becomes a hit or not, because each one plays a role in an artiste’s journey and exposure.
