Ghanaian actor cum politician, John Dumelo, has disclosed that his late father, John William Kudzo Anato-Dumelo preferred a low and quiet burial while he was alive.

In an interview with GhanaWeb’s Issac Dadzie after the burial ceremony on March 8, 2025, John Dumelo said he is glad to have been able to give his father the perfect funeral ceremony to show his last respect.

Dumelo said he was fortunate to have all the necessary support to pull this off.

“My father has always wanted a very low quiet funeral and I think that was what we gave him today. Everything worked as planned. The weather was good, his friends, family as well as my friends and family came so that is exactly how he wanted it,” The Ayawaso West Wuogon Member of Parliament stated

The late Engineer John William Kudzo Anato-Dumelo Snr was laid to rest on March 8, 2025, three months after he passed away.

The funeral ceremony was held at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Adabraka, and then at East Legon, Accra.

    He died at age 75.
