A woman, 29, who died in a workplace incident at a towing yard has been identified as a loving mother-of-three.

Evette Wallington died at the site near Sundercombe Street and Collingwood Street in Osborne Park, northern Perth, at 5.40am on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to the scene and tried to save her life, but her injuries were too severe.

A number of distressed colleagues could be seen at the scene on Tuesday morning.

Former colleague Gregory Dixon told the Daily Mail the young mum was ‘funny and caring’.

‘Every interaction I had with her was positive, and she was someone I genuinely enjoyed talking to and working with,’ he said.

‘She was always willing to have a laugh and that’s one of the things I’ll remember the most about her.

‘I’ll remember her as a genuinely caring person with a good sense of humour.’

He said it was difficult to comprehend that she wouldn’t be around anymore.

‘The towing community has lost one of its own, and she’ll be deeply missed,’ he said.

A friend set up a GoFundMe on Wednesday.

It read: I’ve started this go fund me to raise money for Evette Wallington’s family in this tough time.

‘We lost this amazing woman to a freak accident.

‘Words can not describe the pain and hurt we all are feeling at this time. She was amazing, hard working, amazing mother too her 3 beautiful daughters.

‘She will forever be missed and loved by many.’

    WorkSafe has launched an investigation.
