Nigerian singer Mr Eazi has shared the experience of being married to Temi Otedola, the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola.
In an interview on the 90sBaby Show, the singer explained that from the very beginning of their relationship, Temi had made it clear she saw him as her future husband.
According to him, this happened as far back as 2017 when they first met.

“One thing she always says is, from the first she knew that, this is my man. We met in 2017. So this is like, yeah, I’m hot. But you know, it’s possible for you to be hot and everybody is singing your song but you ain’t got shit in your bank account. I wasn’t where I am now,” he said.
Eazi pointed out that at the time they met, he was enjoying success in the music industry but did not have the financial stability or investments he has built today. He mentioned that Temi’s decision to be with him had nothing to do with his wealth.
“So if she was meeting me where I am now, I have my own venture capital company where I invest. I’ve invested in over ten businesses across the world from Latin America to Africa. My label is now worth a couple of millions of dollars. But this is like she meeting me pre that,” he explained.

The singer said power and money rarely announce themselves. Citing a Ghanaian proverb, he added that people who come from old money often live with quiet confidence rather than flamboyance.
“One thing I’ve noticed, a lot of the people I’ve met with power, they don’t show it. There’s a Ghanaian saying that goes like, ‘Sika mpɛ dede’, money don’t want noise. A lot of true wealth, especially when it’s old money, don’t make noise,” he said.
