Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the esteemed Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, has officially launched the third phase of her ambitious water project, set to provide access to potable drinking water for an additional 40 communities within the constituency. The initiative underscores the MP’s unwavering commitment to enhancing public health and improving the living standards of her constituents.

Access to clean and safe drinking water remains a critical challenge in many rural areas, often leading to waterborne diseases and imposing significant burdens on residents, particularly women and children who travel long distances to fetch water. Hon. Joana Gyan’s multi-phase project directly addresses these pressing needs, aiming to drastically reduce water-related illnesses and free up valuable time for education and economic activities.

Building on the success of its first two phases, which have already brought relief to numerous communities, the third phase marks a significant expansion. A total of 40 towns and villages are earmarked to benefit from new boreholes and upgraded water infrastructure, ensuring that thousands more residents will no longer rely on unsafe water sources.

Speaking at the launch event, Hon. Joana Gyan reiterated her unwavering commitment to the well-being of her constituents. “Clean water is not a luxury; it is a fundamental human right and a cornerstone of development,” she stated. “This project is about dignity, health, and unlocking the potential of our communities. We are dedicated to ensuring that every resident of Amenfi Central has access to safe and affordable drinking water, thereby reducing the burden of diseases and fostering a healthier, more productive populace.”
