A woman has admitted to using her 75-year-old father’s blue badge to go shopping in London.
The driver was filmed returning to her black Mercedes which was parked on Windsor Road in Ealing at around 2.30pm on Monday to find she had been given a parking ticket.
She also said that she was ‘in the wrong’ for using her elderly father’s blue badge which is a criminal offence and could result in it being confiscated.
Video footage showed the woman returning to her vehicle with a Kova Patisserie bag before Ealing resident Mark Uddin asked: ‘Why are you using a man’s blue badge?’
With a surprised look on her face, she replied: ‘It was my dad’s, I was going to pick him up.’
After being confronted on the use, the woman said: ‘I won’t do it again, I’m sorry. I admit I’m in the wrong.’
It is illegal to display a blue badge if you are not travelling with the holder or picking them up from the place of parking, according to the Department for Transport.
The badge must not be given to friends or family to allow them to go shopping and offences can lead to a £1,000 fine.

Mark Uddin, known on social media as Walking Marky spotted the woman using the badge incorrectly while speaking to a local on the road
Mr Uddin told the Daily Mail that he was ‘chatting to a resident when she parked up, put the blue badge in the window and disappeared’.
‘I had a look at the blue badge after she left and I saw that it was for an elderly man,’ he said.
The former Green Party candidate continued speaking to the resident when a parking warden ‘ticketed the car and walked off’.
After about 20 minutes, the woman returned to her car with the bag of shopping and the interaction began.
But the 62-year-old said the woman’s use of the badge was ‘ridiculous’ because it costs just £2.50 to park at Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre for two hours.
‘This is how gross it is,’ he continued. ‘For the sake of £2.50, she misused her dad’s blue badge and wound up with a parking ticket.’
‘The shops are just next door, a few minutes from Windsor Road and the tube is a five-minute walk away.’
Mr Uddin added: ‘And was the woman’s father even aware that his daughter was using his blue badge?’

The apparent misuse is the second time in just two days a blue badge has been used by someone other than the holder to park on Windsor Road.
A man was caught using a 74-year-old woman’s blue badge to park his grey Toyota on the road on August 29.
When Mr Uddin questioned him on the badge’s use the man grabbed his belongings and walked off without saying a word.
He previously told the Daily Mail that he has reported more than 1,500 people who have committed car-related misdemeanors to Ealing Council.
‘The whole system to stop misusers and faulters is totally broken. The public needs to be more concerned about this,’ he said.
Ealing councillor Dominic Moffitt said: ‘The blue badge scheme is a vital service for disabled people to access the support and facilities they need.
‘Blue badge abuse is not a victimless crime and it will not be tolerated in Ealing borough.
‘Where we receive allegations of blue badge misuse, like this, they are carefully considered and would form part of investigations into potential prosecution.’
