Fitness influencer Grace Beverley has revealed the moment her vintage Chanel bag stolen was stolen from between her feet outside a Notting Hill restaurant.

The business owner, 28, was sat outside a popular Greek restaurant with her sister in the west London neighbourhood when a brazen thief sneakily swiped her bag from between her feet.

The founder of activewear brand TALA  took to TikTok to share her frightening experience with her followers and explained she had always considered herself very vigilant.

She explained she had been enjoying lunch with her sister when her vintage accessory was stolen from her  – despite being wedged between her feet.

Grace relayed the theft in a video on Tuesday and said: ‘I feel like I’m so observant and really really careful with my bag and phone in London but my whole bag just got robbed from between my feet at a restaurant.

‘I was at Zephyr in Notting Hill, I was sat outside. My whole bag  – my bag was between my feet , squeezed between my feet and this man managed to get the whole thing.’

She added: ‘Me and my sister were talking about juicy gossip so I feel like that did get in the way but can you believe? My entire bag, my brand new , first ever, vintage Chanel is dead.’

She then shared a clip from CCTV showing the exact moment a man stole her bag as she enjoyed her meal.

IN a claip shared on TikTok the business owner showed how the thief had stolen the bag by pretending to sit down at the same restaurant before snatching it from between her feet

The man then put the vintage Chanel bag inside another tote bag before leaving the restaurant and crossing the road out of sight

In the clip, Grace and her sister could be seen chatting animatedly at a table outside while several people filed past.

One man, wearing wearing a navy top and grey shorts with a matching grey cap, walked past and then reversed.

With handfuls of shopping bags he came and sat down behind the influencer and his sibling, moving a chair and carefully placing his bags down around him.

As the two girls continued their conversation, the thief reached down behind him, quickly snatching the bag and putting it inside a white tote bag before calmly walking out of the restaurant’s seating area.

MailOnline has contacted the Metropolitan Police for comment.

Grace turned to influencing after completing a music degree at St Peter’s College, Oxford.

She decided against a career as a lawyer and instead pursued activewear and fitness, expanding her online platforms including Youtube and Instagram.

The lifestyle and fitness vlogger founded TALA activewear in 2019 after graduating from the prestigious university and turned over £6.2million in its first year alone.

The thief (pictured left) initially walked past the duo before clocking the bag and returning to steal it

In May, Grace opened her flagship store in Carnaby Street, central London and six years after founding the brand, it’s worth more than £8million.

And the business-owner is not the only high-profile celebrity to have been a victim of bag theft in the capital.

In December 2024, model Janice Joostema, who boasts 1.2million followers on Instagram, posted CCTV of the shocking moment her shoulder bag was swiped while she was getting undressed in a VIP changing room at Manière De Voir in Oxford Street.

The influencer’s purse was a red Hermes JPG Shoulder Birkin which are being sold for more than £10,000 online.

Footage shows the thief, dressed in a long white coat, prowling around the high-end shop waiting for the perfect moment to pounce. Moments later, she is seen brazenly opening the door to the changing room, sneaking in and then running out.

Ms Joostema claims that she had her back turned because the windows looked out onto Oxford Street and she was putting a top on, adding: ‘She probably even saw me topless coming into the room and snatching it.’

More recently Jenson Button and his wife Brittany were robbed as they loaded up a car after returning from a blissful Paris getaway

The former Playboy model and the Formula One driver were helping the chauffer load the car when a man swooped in and sped away with her Goyard carry-on suitcase in mere seconds.

Brittany revealed the suitcase was filled with more than £250,000 worth of items, which included two Kelly bags totalling to around £70,000, as well as countless sentimental and antique jewellery from her wedding and the birth of her daughter.

The ex-model divulged that she usually would have packed less luxurious items for a trip, and a carry-on that was less notable, but given the husband and wife were jetting away for Valentine’s Day she and her stylist packed a bit more than usual.

However the ordeal, which saw her bag stolen in a matter of seconds as their backs were turned, has cast a cloud over a city and country which holds significant memories in their relationship.
