Kudus has left West Ham for Spurs Kudus has left West Ham for Spurs

Mohammed Kudus has completed a sensational switch to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, sparking outrage among West Ham United supporters who have branded the Ghanaian midfielder a “traitor” or, as many have now dubbed him, “Mohammed Judas.”

The move was confirmed on Thursday, July 10, 2025, with both clubs announcing that Spurs have secured Kudus on a six-year contract for a fee of around £55 million.

Although his contract at West Ham contained an £85 million release clause, the Hammers opted to let him leave for significantly less, a decision that has only added fuel to the anger among the fanbase.

Kudus, 24, joined West Ham from Ajax in 2023 and quickly became a fan favourite for his flair and goals, netting 19 times and providing 13 assists in 80 appearances.

But his exit, especially to bitter rivals Tottenham, has soured that relationship almost overnight.

Some fans took to social media to vent their fury, mocking the Ghanaian star’s loyalty and work ethic.

One supporter summed up the sentiment with a blunt, “Thank God. Judas.” Another added, “Good riddance. Not concerned. Rather have players who want to be at West Ham than players who put in transfer requests to Spurs.”

Others were more scathing, questioning Kudus’ consistency and commitment during his time in claret and blue.

“World beater on his day, six games a season could get into any team on the planet. Just a shame he went missing for the other 32 last season,” one fan wrote.

Another warned that Kudus’ next visit to the London Stadium will not be a warm one:

“One suspects the reception he receives upon his return will be rather different from the one he once enjoyed. Such is the nature of football.”

Not everyone was bitter, though; a few fans labelled the reaction “petty” but admitted they were concerned about whether the club would be ready for the new season.

“Are we going to have a team for the start of the new season?” asked one, echoing fears about the lack of signings so far.

Kudus arrived at the club at a time when he was desperately needed. Young, dynamic, and full of energy, he tore through defences with ease and quickly won the admiration of supporters.

However, over the past two seasons, his form has visibly dipped. We have seen the signs — the…

So disappointed with this… Why Spurs? Do you want to play in the Championship? Seriously?

Not a big lose, for me he hadn’t give/gave always 💯%. Maybe iam wrong, but sometimes he just looked unmotivated, his head say ,hey i didn’t have to give 💯% to start every game”

Sometimes i wished some one else (who gave 💯%) to start the match.

Just my opinion maybe I’m wrong
