Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara is set to leave the club following the expiration of his two-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors.

The player’s representative, Isaac Saha, who is the PRO of Sports Chief Scout, confirmed the development in an interview with Kumasi-based Fox FM.

“Mohammed Camara will not return to Asante Kotoko again, putting an end to growing speculation among supporters,” Saha stated.

Camara has reportedly been away from Ghana since Kotoko’s defeat to Medeama SC in Tarkwa last month and did not return to feature again for the club.

The Guinean goalkeeper was one of Kotoko’s standout performers during the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign despite the club’s struggles throughout the season.

He made 20 league appearances and kept an impressive 12 clean sheets as the Porcupine Warriors finished eighth on the league table with 49 points and has earned two National invites within that period; November 2025 and March 2026

His departure now marks the end of a short but impactful spell with Kotoko as the club prepares for major changes ahead of the 2026/27 season

Haruna Aziz Dari and Benjamin Twum are expected to stay with the team but isn’t confirmed yet as to whether the Reds will sign another goalkeeper in the upcoming transfer window
