Mission International School has donated professional sports tapes worth an estimated US$5,000 to the Ghana Weightlifting Federation in support of the national team’s preparation for international competitions.

The donation was made during a presentation ceremony held on May 18 at the federation chairman’s office, where the Managing Director of Mission International School, Rev. David Choi, presented five boxes of professional sports tapes to Federation Chairman Jerry Ahmed Shaib.

The support is expected to help Ghanaian weightlifters with injury management, muscle conditioning, recovery, and overall performance during training and competitions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rev. Choi said the donation formed part of the school’s commitment to youth development through sports. He described sports as an important platform for discipline, leadership, character building, and national service among young people.

Mr. Shaib welcomed the intervention and described it as timely, noting that the equipment would significantly support athletes in their preparations.

Mission International School also announced plans to donate an additional 20 boxes of sports tapes to another national team in the coming months.
