Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has lauded the extraordinary achievement of one-year-old Ghanaian artist Ace-Liam, who has broken a 21-year-old Guinness World Record to become the youngest artist in the world.

Speaking during a formal presentation at the Ministry, the minister praised the dedication of Ace’s family—particularly his mother, Chantelle for recognizing and nurturing his creative talent.

“When parents identify their child’s strength and create the platform for them to thrive, the child becomes a giant at a very young age,” the minister stated, describing Ace’s achievement as a lesson in perseverance and timing.

In a show of support, the Ministry pledged to back Ace’s artistic journey with opportunities for visibility and exhibition.

Plans are underway to feature his artwork at key national events, including the upcoming Afro-Castro Festival on October 17–18, which will highlight Ghanaian food, music and art for both local and international audiences.

At just 1 year and 152 days old, Ace-Liam shattered the Guinness World Record previously held since 2003 by a three-year-old artist from the United States.

His incredible milestone has made waves both in Ghana and abroad, with the Ministry recognizing the moment as a proud one for the country’s Creative Arts sector.

The young prodigy’s success story reached global heights when, in June 2024, he was honoured at the UK Parliament as a Global Child Prodigy in Arts, joining an elite list of only 100 exceptional children worldwide across various fields.

Soon after, Guinness World Records named him their “Youngest Achiever Ever” in the organization’s 70-year history.

Ace’s mother, Chantelle, a visual artist herself, expressed her pride in how her son’s journey has elevated not only her own career but also Ghana’s profile on the global art stage.

“He’s put not just me and himself, but Ghana on the map,” she said.

Ace-Liam’s meteoric rise is fast becoming a source of inspiration for families across Ghana, serving as a testament to the transformative power of early support and recognition in shaping the next generation of creative leaders.
