An investigation has been launched after suspected human remains were found in London.
The discovery was made near bushes on Sewell Road, Thamesmead yesterday at 12.36pm.
A cordon remains in place at the scene while forensic officers try to determine what the suspicious find is.
Enquiries are ongoing, but police said they were called to reports of suspected human bones.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: ‘Police were called at 12:36hrs on Wednesday, 6 November to reports of suspected human remains/bones at Sewell Road, Thamesmead.
‘A cordon has been put in place while forensic officers examine the item and establish its origins.
‘Enquiries are ongoing.’
