    Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe Adeoti has dismissed negative remarks about her marriage to movie marketer Kazim Adeoti.

    Speaking on Iriri Mi, a talk show hosted by Bimpe Akintunde, Mercy addressed accusations that she controls her husband.

    Reacting to these claims, the actress questioned why people were so invested in her marriage, describing such statements as noise.

    Mercy also opened up about facing family opposition when she decided to remarry, especially considering her age.

    However, she stood firm in her decision, stating that she knew what she wanted.

    She said;

    “That’s just noise. Look closely at those talking. How is their life? People only talk when you’re doing something good. If you’re not known, you can’t be their topic. You have to be at the top to be a topic. I love love, actually. Even some family members asked me why I was getting married at almost 50, but everybody knows what they want. I know what I saw, and I know what I wanted. I love to have a crown (husband) on my head and to be married. Maybe if I was still in my baby daddy’s house, I wouldn’t be known as Mercy Aigbe.”

    Below are some comments;

    “Mercy Aigbe no send anybody! People will always talk, but at the end of the day, it’s her life and her choice. Let her enjoy her marriage in peace!”

    “She spoke facts! If you’re not relevant, nobody will talk about you. Let the woman breathe abeg!”

    “Nigerians too like to poke nose into people’s marriages! Why una dey stress”
