Dutch footballer of Ghanaian descent, Memphis Depay, visited the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, during his recent vacation in Ghana.

The Netherlands international, who is connected to the Ashanti royal family, shared moments from the visit on Instagram, offering fans a glimpse into his cultural ties and time spent with the revered King.

Depay was accompanied by his brothers, Oheneba Opoku Ware and Oheneba Kwaku Dua, during the visit.

Known for his deep connection to Ghana, Depay often pays homage to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II whenever he visits the country. This visit was part of his Christmas vacation, which he spent in Ghana following the conclusion of the Brazilian league season.

Depay, who currently plays for Corinthians in Brazil, enjoyed an impressive debut season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 14 matches across all competitions.

The 30-year-old footballer has frequently used his trips to Ghana to connect with his roots and engage in philanthropic activities, further solidifying his bond with the country.
