Podcaster Megyn Kelly has revealed who would be her ideal ‘girl crush’ while taking a swipe at a long-time adversary.
‘If I ever were to embark on a crossover tour on my sexuality, which I haven’t in 54 years, it would be like a Jillian Michaels type – the lipstick lesbian,’ Kelly stated.
Her admission came during an episode of The Megyn Kelly Show in which she embarked on a blistering tirade against liberal tech journalist Kara Swisher.
The two have been embroiled in a years long spat stemming from a fallout over Kelly cancelling an appearance on Swisher’s podcast following the sudden death of her sister.
The former Fox host felt that Swisher was callous and unsympathetic in her response after she called her out for continuing to post online.
The feud reignited this week after Swisher referred to Kelly as a ‘rage machine’ during an episode of her podcast.
This sent Kelly on one of her most venomous verbal attacks yet in which she called Swisher a ‘very tough, ballsy, open lesbian woman’.
Swisher then trolled Kelly on Bluesky writing: ‘Stop the presses: Megyn figured out I am ‘openly lesbian’.’
The conservative firebrand interpreted this as a signal of Swisher’s romantic interest and shut any attraction on her part down down.
‘It would clearly not be [Kara Swisher],’ Kelly said of her type. ‘Not you, who looks more like a man.’
Michaels, 51, is known for her fitness empire, sharp tongue and undeniably glam look.

The bitter feud between Kelly and tech journalist Kara Swisher has been simmering for years
But Kelly, who has been married to Douglas Brunt since 2008, clarified she remains heterosexual.
‘I’m into men. Actual men. With penises. Like my husband,’ the podcaster said bluntly. ‘Kara, I’m sorry to break your heart – it’s a hard no.’
Their antipathy began after Kelly cancelled her guest appearance on Swisher’s show following the death of her sister Suzanne Crossley in 2022.
The journalists’ feud stems from Kelly cancelling an appearance on Swisher’s show following the death of her sister Suzanne Crossley
Kelly was just days away from an appearance on Swisher’s podcast when when her sister suffered a fatal heart attack at age 58.
Kelly’s assistant notified Swisher’s team, saying she had a personal emergency and couldn’t appear.
But rather than offer sympathy, Kelly says Swisher shot back a sarcastic remark questioning the excuse as she was still posting online: ‘Oh, that sounds like a good idea, and I certainly hope she’ll stay off X in the meantime.’
Kelly claims that even after receiving an explanation, Swisher was far from contrite.
‘And she writes back, ‘Oh well I was only joking… sorry,’ Kelly said on air earlier this week.
‘She didn’t send me a note. She didn’t say, ‘I’m so sorry.’ She just brushed it off. That’s not a mistake. That’s a choice. That’s who she is.’
Kelly let loose a series of brutal insults, personal revelations, and graphic rejections that stunned even longtime viewers of her no-holds-barred show
She suggested the Swisher was romantically attracted to her after the tech journalist trolled her for trying to use her sexuality as an insult
Kelly said they had once been ‘friendly’, although not any more.
‘She was such an incredible ass****,’ Kelly said, bluntly. ‘I completely changed my opinion of her.
‘She f***ing used the death of my sister as this excuse, she crapped on Abby [Kelly’s assistant] when she said she can’t make your podcast because something personal happened, she decided to say, ‘Oh, she’s afraid of me.’
‘And her response to my telling story is, ‘oh, she finally found out I’m a lesbian and she’s attracted to me.’ Something’s wrong with this person!’
The bitter feud was reignited this by Swisher on her podcast, Pivot, co-hosted with Scott Galloway.
Swisher told listeners that ‘rage machine’ Kelly, ‘has a little act that she takes on the road and screams at women – a lot of women’.
‘What is wrong with her?’ the veteran tech journalist and former New York Times opinion writer asked.
Kelly has been open about her devastation over the sudden death of her sister.
Kelly broke down when she told her own audience that her sister had unexpectedly passed in 2022
When she first announced the news on her show in 2022, she broke down in tears.
‘She was 58,’ Kelly said, her voice cracking. ‘It was sudden and it was unexpected.’
She described rushing to New York, being by her sister’s side when she passed, and how she found solace in returning to work.
‘It’s more cathartic to work,’ she said at the time. ‘It gave me a couple of hours where I could take my mind off it and talk about the stuff that matters.
‘This woman never said ‘I’m sorry,’ Kelly said of Swisher again this week. ‘She tried to cover her own ass, because she knew she made herself look terrible.
‘From that point forward, all she’s done is rip on me,’ Kelly said. ‘And frankly, vice versa.’
