Ghanaian rapper Medikal has addressed the growing backlash following the announcement of Erica Nana Akua Appiah, popularly known as Highest Eri, as the new Public Relations Officer for his label, Beyond Kontrol (BYK).
The decision sparked widespread conversation online, with some fans expressing concern due to the previously known differences.
However, Medikal insists the appointment represents something different which is his maturity, growth and a renewed focus on building a stronger brand.
In a statement shared on his social media pages, Medikal emphasized that choosing collaboration over conflict is a sign of his growth in the industry.
He added that the past remains behind them, and the vision now is to build a bigger and better brand.
He also urged his fans and industry stakeholders to welcome Highest Eri with positivity and added that he strongly believes she will be an asset to the team.
