Ghanaian champions Medeama SC are reportedly interested in signing Usman Safianu from Hohoe United ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The talented playmaker has attracted attention following an impressive campaign where he consistently delivered standout performances for the ‘Muje Gabah’ outfit before the club’s withdrawal from the league.

Safianu made his presence felt right from the start of the season and quickly became one of the most influential players in the team with his creativity and attacking contributions.

Despite the club’s difficult situation, the Hohoe United captain continued to shine and established himself as one of the exciting midfielders in the competition.

The mercurial midfielder has scored four goals in 26 league appearances this season while also earning admiration for his leadership qualities and ability to influence matches from midfield.

Fresh from winning the Ghana Premier League title, Medeama are expected to strengthen their squad ahead of next season’s CAF Champions League campaign, with Safianu now reportedly on the radar of the Tarkwa-based side alongside interest from several other clubs.
