    The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League delivered another dramatic weekend of football on match-day 33 as Medeama SC officially sealed the league title, while the race for survival intensified heading into the final round of matches.

    There were goals across several centres, major upsets, and crucial victories that reshaped both the top and bottom ends of the table.

    Medeama SC were officially crowned champions after an emphatic 5-2 victory over Heart of Lions at the TnA Stadium

    The Mauve and Yellows sealed the title with a game to spare to win their second league trophy and also their second triumph in four seasons. Kelvin Obeng and Derrick Fordjour both scored braces while Prince Owusu added another in a dominant display in Tarkwa.

    Second-placed Bibiani GoldStars also failed to keep pace after suffering a 3-1 defeat away to Dreams FC at the Tuba Astro Turf.

    At the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Asante Kotoko suffered a 3-1 defeat to Bechem United. Veteran forward Augustine Okrah scored a brace to increase his league tally to 15 goals and continues to lead the goalking chat.

    Defending champions FC Samartex 1996 edged Hearts of Oak 1-0 in Samreboi thanks to a decisive 72nd-minute strike from Gabriel Osei at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.

    At Abrankese, Vision FC boosted their survival hopes with a narrow 1-0 win over Nations FC after goalkeeper Hadina Barlu gifted Faruk Mohammed a goal through a costly error. The defeat dragged Nations FC deeper into the relegation battle heading into the final round of matches.

    Elsewhere, Berekum Chelsea defeated Eleven Wonders 2-0, Aduana FC beat Young Apostles 3-1, while Karela United secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Swedru All Blacks.

    Basake Holy Stars also boosted their survival hopes with a commanding 3-0 away win over Hohoe United.

    With one round of matches remaining, the relegation fight remains intense as Swedru All Blacks, Heart of Lions and Basake Holy Stars all continue battling to avoid the drop.
