Renowned media personality MC Yaa Yeboah has firmly dismissed persistent rumors linking Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame A Plus, as the father of her child.

In an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM on January 30, 2025, Yaa Yeboah once again described the claims as “unpleasant and unfounded.”

She expressed concern over the tendency for baseless rumors to target young, rising female journalists in Ghana.

“Recently, there were rumors suggesting that A Plus is the father of my daughter. That is unpleasant because when I went to America, someone even approached me with the same question. It’s a baseless rumor and not true,” she asserted.

The eloquent media personality condemned the trend in the media landscape, where female professionals are subjected to image-tarnishing gossip involving their personal lives.

When questioned about why she had not pursued legal action for defamation, Yaa Yeboah admitted that she initially viewed it as a futile effort.

“I wanted to take such people to court, but after careful thought, I realised it would be a waste of resources. I decided to let it go at the time, but moving forward, I will pursue legal redress. Most of these people spreading the rumours live abroad, in places like the UK and the USA,” she disclosed.
