Ghanaian hypeman and MC, David Germain Portfolio, popularly known as MC Portfolio, has broken his silence regarding the controversial Gh₵5,000 gift he received from dancehall artist Shatta Wale during a live TV appearance.

Taking to his Facebook wall today, Sunday, December 1, 2024, MC Portfolio addressed the ongoing backlash he has faced over accepting the money.

“MC Portfolio Must Return The Money To Shatta And Apologize To You, Else Drop Him” – Sally Mann Tells Stonebwoy As She F!res Over The Ghc5,000 Live TV Gift

He revealed that the entire amount was shared among the band and production crew members present at Fakye TV that day.

“Amidst all the insults, this is the truth nobody gets to know because they won’t believe I shared the money to the band and production guys that day. I’m glad this is coming from an insider,” he wrote.

This response was triggered by a comment from one Kwaku Abeiku Okyere, who defended MC Portfolio and criticized controversial media personality Sally Mann for overreacting to the matter.

“The money sef was shared among the production guys that night,” Kwaku wrote.

This whole brouhaha follows the decision of MC Portfolio to accept Shatta Wale’s surprise gift given to him on live TV.

As a close associate of Stonebwoy in recent time, many felt MC Portfolio has been disloyal to Stonebwoy and his fans.

Even though MC Portfolio has recounted the unexpected nature of the gift and explained that Shatta Wale had expressed remorse for not appreciating his efforts over the years and decided to offer him the money as a token of gratitude many have read other meanings into it.
