Although details about the One-Week Observation and funeral rites for Daddy Lumba are yet to be officially announced, MC Portfolio has already offered a suggestion.

In a video captured by Zionfelix.net, Portfolio proposed that the funeral of the late Highlife legend should take place in Kumasi.

His reasoning? He noted that Kumasi is renowned for transforming funerals into grand, unforgettable occasions, making it the ideal location to honour Daddy Lumba’s legacy.

Portfolio clarified that what is needed is a state-assisted funeral, not a full state funeral. He explained that a state funeral typically confines the ceremony to Accra, whereas a state-assisted burial allows for more flexibility in location.

He also made a bold claim about the late artiste’s legacy, asserting that if white people understood Twi, even Michael Jackson couldn’t rival Daddy Lumba’s musical impact.

Tributes have continued to pour in from around the world following Daddy Lumba’s death.
