In order to campaign to the populace, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and other New Patriotic Party (NPP) officials stormed Bantama.

The crowd erupted in support of the team. Online, images of the campaign have begun to circulate. In the current campaign, this appears to be the biggest gathering the NPP has witnessed. Considering the number of people in Bantama, a number of social media responses believe that the NPP will undoubtedly break the 8.

First, let’s examine some responses from Ghanaians:

    Samuel Kwame:

“John Mahama and his nkokɔɔ nketenkete NDC think we are joking. Hmm! I just can’t wait for December 7 to vote for my next President, H.E. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia. It is possible!”

    Mr. Three:

“NPP is surely winning. Look at the massive crowd. NPP is breaking the ‘Eight’. Victory is assured. Let’s stay strong!”

    Kwadwo Takyi:

“We’re definitely breaking the ‘8’ and continuing the good works of the Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia administration.”

    Michael Adertey:

“From what I am seeing, the NDC should forget about this election.”

    Kwame Nkrumah:

“The same people mobbed JDM at this same spot. They are not your organic supporters.”

Both NPP and NDC are currently campaigning in the Ashanti region. It is believed that if NPP manages to get 70% of the votes in Ashanti region, they may win the elections. The NDC are also campaigning massively in the region to reduce NPP’s vote.

The NDC are hoping to win over 30% votes in the region. This will help them win the elections.
