A Nigerian woman, Vivian Irondi, who works as a legal analyst with the World Bank Group, has shared her thoughts on marriage, advising people to choose partners who are on a similar level financially, intellectually, and academically.
Irondi, a philanthropist and mother of two, made the comment in a post on Facebook where she encouraged individuals to be mindful of compatibility beyond emotions when choosing a life partner.
In her post, she warned that relationships where there is a major gap in financial status or intellectual level — such as a wealthy groom marrying a much poorer bride or the other way around — often come with challenges.
She urged people to consider these factors before settling down, stressing that marrying someone within the same “tax bracket,” intellectual capacity, and educational level could help avoid problems in the long run.
